Is GTA Online Reaching Another Dark Age?

Hello everyone,

I’m noticing a HUGE wave (more like tsunami) of: Cheaters, exploiters, and griefers all over GTA Online again. And I (nor any of the communities I’m in, or buddies) have no idea where they came from. It seems like they all up and came up out of nowhere.

I’m talking accounts as low as Lv.28, with: Oppressor MK2’s, seemingly infinite RPG’s, wearing thermal head gear, etc. And their k/d ratios are ridiculous. I’m a 2.63 that spent years acquiring that, and I’m seeing folks running about with over 6 k/d ratios and seemingly no limits on the amount of money they can throw away. I’ll be the first to tell you that maintaining a high ratio is EXTREMELY hard. So how you can maintain something over than a 3 legitimately is beyond me. I joined a session a session not too long ago, where this Lv.50-something player had over a 10k I/d ratio.

Another thing I’m seeing are people with ridiculously high levels in the thousands again. Now, I know that some people definitely earned their high levels. But a lot of these folks? Can’t be. Not these many players, with sky-high k/d ratios to match. Clearly something is up, but how? Wasn’t all this stuff taken care of by R*?

Anyone else noticing this? I’m on PS4 by the way, and I can say without a doubt that this is probably the worst I’ve seen it on PS4. And I’ve been playing GTA Online since 2013 on PS3. The only thing practically missing, are god-mod exploiters and people doing permanent explosions. Spawning items on people and what not. That’s all that’s missing just about.
